splendid/sordid

there is no day more splendid,
only i know it
through sordid days…

it went:
man and woman, from a bush
and babies clung

man on a horse,
dearly beloved, thy,
and doves, and sea monsters,
woman with legs shut
and a belt
on her cunt with teeth on it

babies died
all the time and she died
more often than not

man in a car,
who crumbles up
when he hears the phrase “make love”

i don’t know him,
but i heard it and it’s true

slams fists on countertops
likes plastic planes
beats her and rapes her

little girls afraid!

for this part, i was there:

he likes
to strangle women
and she likes
a strangle too
man and woman, fair
and the others – of course
nature posed, high like the stilts
of a crane

there is no day more splendid,
only i know it
through sordid days…
